For 27 years I owned and operated a full-service Professional Tennis Coaching Business – Scott Base Tennis Coaching.  I passionately and successfully coached beginner players through to Otago, Southern and National Reps across both Juniors and Senior Players including coaching and touring with players in USA, Australia and Europe.  I have also developed and mentored a large staff of coaches in their respective professional journeys over this time, with 2 of them winning NZ ‘Coach of the Year’ in the last 10 years.  

In 2021 I decided to hand my business over to M.A.T Tennis Coaching, and pivot to begin contracting as part of the Tennis NZ Player Development Team delivering the ITF qualification courses and Tennis NZ workshops around NZ.  I agreed to stay on as part of the M.A.T Tennis Coaching team as a consultant and locum coach to assist Mat continue to deliver his high-quality coaching and player focused programs and support the ongoing development of the M.A.T Tennis Coaching staff and team.
